Hydr. collagen is decomposed to smaller peptides (2-4 kDa). It acts through the reserve of basic building blocks (amino acids) and the stimulation of synthesis with short peptides. Absorption is needed for it to function, and its main effect is to stimulate the synthesis of own collagen.
